"No one should grieve alone with only therapy to look forward to."
This is what I realized after the sudden loss of my 14 year old son. This is what led me to the creation of Nathaniel's House. A grief support and community center offering peer-led support groups, creative workshops, and horsemanship lessons. Activities are designed to support not only those who are grieving, but anyone who is facing personal struggles.
Offering a variety of activities in a quiet, welcoming rural setting designed to foster hope, healing and a sense of connection in a supportive community.
Peer Support Groups: We offer gentle peer-led supportive groups in a quiet, welcoming space, surrounded by horses and animals.
These groups and activities are not therapy. We offer a space where individuals can come together in mutual support, and compassion offering the gift of being heard.
Horsemanship Lessons: Provides a chance to experience therapeutic benefits of spending time with horses. Lessons offer a hands-on opportunity to connect with these incredible animals in a calm supportive environment.
Creative Painting and Craft Workshops: Classes and workshops offer creative activities allowing for alternate ways to process emotions in a supportive environment that supports healing and peace.
