Time with horses provides a chance to experience their therapeutic benefits. Lessons offer a hands-on opportunity in a calm, supportive environment.
Horsemanship lessons offer a hands-on opportunity to connect with these incredible animals in a calm supportive environment. Participants will learn skills such as grooming and hand walking, lunging and line driving, basic horsemanship.
Research suggests a horse's heart produces a significantly larger and more energetic electromagnetic field than a human's, which may help influence human cardiac rhythm during close contact. Working with horses routinely is also linked to real stress reduction: lower blood pressure, reduced anxiety, and decreased stress hormones.
This is the part of Nathaniel's House that came first: the barn work that gave Meg somewhere for her mind to rest. Horses require your full attention. You cannot brush a horse and ruminate at the same time, and for a lot of people that hour is the only quiet they get all week.
Lessons are hands-on and start from the ground up. No experience is expected, and nobody is going to put you on a horse before you want to be on one.
Booking and fees
Pre-registration is required, and lesson fees apply. Fees go towards the care and feed of the horses.
