Privacy notice.
Plain English, because you should not need a lawyer to find out what happens to your information.
What we collect
When you use the contact form: your name, email address, and (if you choose to give them) your phone number, the topic you picked, and your message. We also record which page you arrived on and which site referred you, so we know whether people are finding us.
When you simply read the site: we record the page you viewed, roughly how long you stayed, how far down you scrolled, which links you clicked, and basic performance measurements. We also record the country and region your request came from.
This measurement is done by a script served from portal.shelfcontrol.io, which belongs to ShelfControl LLC, the company that built and hosts this site, described under “Who processes it” below. Your browser contacts them directly when you read a page here. It still sets no cookie, and still stores nothing in your browser to recognise you later.
What we don't do
- We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising tracker.
- We do not set analytics cookies, and we do not store an ID in your browser to follow you between visits.
- We do not store your IP address. It is used in transit to derive a daily, non-reversible visitor count and is then discarded.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information.
- We do not add you to a mailing list because you filled in the contact form.
Who processes it
The site is hosted on infrastructure operated by ShelfControl LLC, which built and maintains this website for us. Contact form submissions and analytics are received by their systems on our behalf and are only used to run this site and reply to you.
The donation form is hosted by Zeffy and is governed by Zeffy's own privacy policy. Anything you enter there goes to Zeffy, not through this site. The sessions calendar is drawn by this site from dates written into the page itself, so looking at it does not contact anybody else. It used to be embedded from Google Calendar, and is not any more. The contact form is protected from bots by Cloudflare Turnstile.
Confidentiality at Nathaniel’s House
Separately from this website: what is said in a support group stays in the group. We do not keep clinical notes, because we are not clinicians and these groups are not therapy. We will not confirm to anybody else that you attend.
Photographs
We sometimes photograph events for our Facebook page and this website. If you would rather not be photographed, tell whoever is holding the camera or mention it when you arrive. That is a completely normal request and nobody will ask you why. If a photograph of you is already published and you want it removed, tell us and we will take it down.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Get in touch and we will do it.
Changes
If the site starts doing something new (a new form field, a new processor, a new embed), this page gets updated at the same time.
