Terms of use.
The rules of the road for this website, and one thing we want to be completely clear about.
Not medical or mental health care
The groups and activities offered by Nathaniel's House are not therapy. They are peer support: people with lived experience of grief, meeting each other. We are not licensed mental health professionals, we do not diagnose or treat any condition, and nothing on this website or said at a session is medical advice.
Nothing here is a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Please do not delay seeking, or disregard, professional advice because of something you read here. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
Animals and a working property
Nathaniel's House operates on a working property with horses and other animals. Horses are large animals and being around them carries inherent risk. Sessions are held in the gathering room: the barn itself, the paddocks and the rest of the property are not open to walk around, and you must ask before going into them. Never enter a fenced area on your own: a horse may be in it, even if you cannot see one from outside the fence. Follow the instructions you are given on site, wear closed-toe shoes, and do not approach or feed any animal without asking. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Separate written terms and a liability waiver may apply to horsemanship lessons and to some workshops; these are provided at registration.
Using this website
You are welcome to read, print and share this site. The text, photographs and the Nathaniel's House name and mark belong to us. Please do not reuse them commercially without asking. Links to other organisations are offered as a convenience; we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content.
Accuracy
We keep session details and costs as current as we can, but Nathaniel's House runs on weather and on volunteers. Confirm details with us before you travel.
Donations
Donations are processed by Zeffy under their terms. Gifts are generally non-refundable; if you have made a mistake, tell us and we will help sort it out.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio.
